The decisions that matter

How a flared yoga pants manufacturer defines the fit.

The relationship between the waist, knee and hem defines the silhouette. We use your reference and measurements to review the development scope. Identify the proportions you want to preserve, and mark where your reference needs to change.

A flare is not simply a wider hem on any legging. Its starting position, the tension above it and the fabric’s movement need to work together. Tell us whether the garment is intended for studio practice, everyday wear or both, so the sample review addresses the way it will be worn.

  1. 01

Knee to hem: where the flare begins

Specify where the flare begins, knee width and hem sweep. Compare the shape standing and in movement. A higher opening changes the line through the lower leg; a later opening keeps more of the leg close to the body. Mark that transition on your reference instead of relying on the word flared alone.

  2. 02

    Knee width and hem sweep

Provide the intended knee fit and hem shape together. Discuss how much ease belongs at the knee and how the opening should fall over footwear. Check the sample from the front, side and back: record how the hem turns and moves when worn.

  3. 03

    High waist and support

Specify rise, waistband depth and the feel you want at the waist. Review the band while sitting, bending and moving, along with its position on the torso. Agree how waist comfort and support will be assessed using the selected material and construction on the sample.

  4. 04

    Drape and recovery

Discuss a material that supports the upper leg while giving the hem the movement you want. Confirm behavior using the selected fabric and sample. Review stretch, return to shape, opacity in the intended color and the finished feel, and record any changes needed.

  5. 05

    Crotch and seam construction

Mark the proposed front, back, inner-leg and gusset joins, including any seam you want to remove or reposition. Review contact points, stretch and bulk in movement. A clean front can be developed through pattern choices; it does not by itself mean the garment uses seamless knitting.

Your specification

What you can specify for your collection.

Use these categories to prepare a brief. Propose the measurements, fabric direction and weight you want. We review feasibility, availability and the sample scope before those choices become an agreed specification.

Pattern and silhouette

Start with the line of the garment and describe the changes that matter to your wearer. Review the same points across the intended size range rather than approving only the appearance of a reference size.

  • Rise and waistband depth
  • Flare starting position
  • Knee width and hem sweep
  • Inseam and size grading
  • Gusset, seams and pocket placement

Fabric direction

Bring a physical fabric or garment reference when possible. The proposed weight and composition guide sourcing; the sample decides whether the material gives the leg and hem the behavior you need.

  • Preferred fiber composition
  • Buyer-proposed fabric weight
  • Hand feel and surface texture
  • Stretch, recovery and coverage review

Branding and finishing

Supply artwork, dimensions and placement references. Review how the proposed decoration interacts with stretch and seams before approval, and distinguish the garment logo from labeling and packing requirements.

  • Logo artwork and placement
  • Proposed decoration method
  • Brand and care-label content
  • Hangtag and packaging brief

Color development

Define the color you want with a physical reference or an agreed standard. Review the chosen fabric and any matching trims together; a screen image is a starting direction rather than color approval.

  • Main fabric color reference
  • Contrast panel or waistband colors
  • Logo and trim coordination
  • Sample color approval

Sample review

Check the flare and length on a sample.

Length and shoe pairing

Define the intended inseam and how the hem sits with footwear. Review length across your size range rather than scaling one sample blindly. Check standing clearance, movement and the effect of the chosen shoe on the silhouette.

Review waist placement, knee tension and hem clearance on the sample. Write down the revisions before a production specification is agreed. Record the measurement method and any fit corrections so the approved sample and written brief describe the same garment.

From brief to bulk

Know what you receive at each stage.

Agree the scope before development begins, and use each handover to close the remaining decisions. The quoted terms apply to the reviewed construction; seamless sampling and bulk timing are confirmed per project.

  1. 01

    Brief review

Send your reference or tech pack, measurements, material direction, branding, proposed quantity and destination. You receive a review of the development requirements and questions about unresolved fit or construction choices. Mark essential details and alternatives so the proposal reflects your priorities.

  2. 02

    Specification and quotation

You receive the proposed development scope and quotation to review, including material, construction and applicable terms. Cut-and-sew styles start from 50 pieces per style, per color. Match the quotation to the reviewed specification and quantity.

  3. 03

    Sample development

You receive a sample against the agreed brief to assess shape, fit, seams, fabric and branding. Cut-and-sew sampling takes 10–18 working days after the details are confirmed; complex styles take longer. Keep fit comments tied to measurements and images so a revision request can be understood without guessing.

  4. 04

    Revision and approval

You receive the agreed revisions for review and an updated specification to approve with the sample. Confirm knee and hem proportions, length, material, color and decoration together. Record what is approved and what remains open before authorizing production.

  5. 05

    Bulk production handover

You receive confirmation of the approved production specification and order details before bulk work proceeds. Cut-and-sew bulk production takes 20–30 working days after sample approval. Agree quality checks, packing, freight and delivery responsibilities for your destination.

FAQ

Are you a flared yoga pants manufacturer or a trading company?

YogaSew is the yoga wear manufacturing brand of Dongguan Jiashun Clothing Co., Ltd., a custom yoga wear factory in China. Send your reference or tech pack for development review. A design concept or catalog reference is not stock or an approved production sample.

What is the MOQ for flared yoga pants?

Cut-and-sew styles start from 50 pieces per style, per color. Seamless styles start from 50 pieces per style, per color.

Can you develop from a reference garment or a tech pack?

Yes. A reference garment, sketch or tech pack can start the review. Mark the rise, flare starting point, knee fit, inseam and hem sweep you want, plus any details you would change. We review the proposed construction and material, then agree a sample brief before production approval.

How long does sampling take?

Cut-and-sew sampling takes 10–18 working days after the details are confirmed; complex styles take longer. The sample is for reviewing fit, material, seams and branding against the agreed brief. Record revisions before approving production. For seamless styles, the sampling time is confirmed per project after specification review.

Which fabric suits a flared silhouette?

Choose around the required upper-leg fit and hem movement. Nylon/elastane and polyester/elastane fabric directions can be discussed, with drape, opacity and recovery checked on the sample. Provide your preferred feel and proposed fabric weight, then review the selected material and color in movement.
